A STUDY OF THE Ti-Mn REDOX COUPLE FOR REDOX FLOW BATTERY BASED ON COMSOL

In this study, the distribution of overpotential, dissociation rate, electrode potential, current density, and comparison rate with Vanadium ion is proposed to examine for a Titanium Manganese Redox Flow Battery (TMRFB). TMRFB can be solution in condition energy scarcity environmental pollution due its high capacity ecofriendly characteristics. Rather more expensive vanadium redox flow batteries, Mn-based batteries have gained appeal their inexpensive cost density. This study shows that Ti4+/ Ti3+ Mn3+/Mn2+ ions higher at membrane lower inlet where velocity electrolyte higher; The undergoes oxidation-reduction reactions, therefore crucial cell; Furthermore, our finds as thickness compressed, density potential are enhanced while overpotential lowered; battery it found Ti-Mn greater than ions. model's equations solved by using finite-element approach COMSOL Multiphysics software. reaction modeled an electrolyte-electrode interface connection. Dissociation occurs less membrane. performance increased optimizing rate. Electrode compression increases conductivity performance.
